Neighborhood Advisor Program (NAP)

The Neighborhood Advisor Program supports seniors both inside and outside the walls of Dunbar. Advisors provide outreach, resources, and referrals to help older adults live independently and stay connected. For mobile seniors, that may mean workshops, transportation, and social gatherings at the center. For those who are homebound, it means direct outreach, follow-up support, and regular check-ins. Together with the meal program, NAP is part of Thrive at Dunbar, a larger initiative designed to help seniors stay healthy, active, and supported as they age.
“Dunbar is my ‘Happy Place’. I enjoy our seniors, their talent, conversations, and generosity. I have learned from the Dunbar Crew. I have enjoyed many events with seniors such as our trips to the old forge, apple picking, stage performances at the Civic Center Theater, Turning Stone Casino, and our Christmas Parties. My favorite activity is line dancing, and card playing with the Pity Pet Club.”
– Winnie Robinson, Southside Resident
