Dunbar Athletic Club

The Dunbar Athletic Club opens the door to sports and wellness activities that many kids might not otherwise experience. Instead of focusing only on traditional leagues, the program exposes youth to a wide range of opportunities — basketball, flag football, lacrosse, tennis, yoga, tumbling, and more. Coaches and mentors guide participants in developing athletic skills, teamwork, and goal- setting, all while building confidence in a positive environment.

Currently in its third year, the Athletic Club has grown into a standalone program open to all youth — not just those enrolled in after-school care. With flexible scheduling throughout the week and on Saturdays, kids can choose the activities that interest them most. The long-term goal is to expand into leagues and tournaments, offering even more ways for children to compete, grow, and discover a love for movement and sports.
