Student Coalition on Race and Equity
(SCORE)

SCORE is where teens step up and lead real conversations about race and equity. Once a week after school, students from across Syracuse dive into tough topics like redlining, bias, and justice — things they often don’t get to talk about in class. Then, they take what they’ve learned and teach it to others — from peers to teachers to community groups. It’s not just a club, it’s a movement. Teens get paid for their time, build confidence as public speakers, and walk away knowing they have the power to change how their community thinks and acts

SCORE gives teens a platform to explore, discuss, and take action on issues of race and equity. Beyond classroom-style work, SCORE members organize and lead conversations in the wider community — building leadership skills while helping to foster understanding and dialogue across generations
