The cornerstone of Syracuse’s Black community
Generations of families have relied on Dunbar for support, guidance, and opportunity, and many who grew up at Dunbar now return as leaders, mentors, or board members. Founded in 1918 as a settlement house for Syracuse’s Black community, Dunbar has continued to serve each generation with the same resilience, pride, and possibility that has always defined us.
